NHTI Dental Continuing Ed Spring 2021 CPHDH & Dental Continuing Edu Courses Infection Control Practice (ICP)  in the Dental Office Hybrid Online Portion: Jan 2 - Jan 16 (Must be completed prior to attending clinical portion) Clinical Portion (NHTI):  Saturday, January 16, 2021, 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm With online and hands-on components, course topics include barrier techniques, limiting contamination, hand washing, handling of sharps, sterilization, disinfection, and disposal of waste materials. NHTI Announces 2021 EFDA Program

The Business Training Center at NHTI – Concord’s Community College announces that the 2021 EFDA program is now accepting applications and works to expand the credentials and skills of dental assistants and dental hygienists to elevate their roles in caring for dental patients. The EFDA candidates will complete unique clinical training that certifies them for key roles within dental practices to enhance practice efficiencies by helping treat more patients. The rigorous eight-week program will run Feb. 15, 2021–May 2, 2021, and is offered through NHTI’s Business Training Center. Tuition for the program is $7,500.  Communicating Mindfully for the Workplace 2 Hours, Every 2 Weeks, 8 Weeks, Online, Begins January 20, 2021 Over the last two decades, mindfulness has enjoyed an exponential rise in nearly every facet of society. From healthcare to education, the military to professional sports teams, training in mindfulness is improving people’s physical and psychological health, as well as their performance and life satisfaction. Many business leaders recognize the benefits mindfulness can bring to the workforce, including increased productivity and reduced healthcare costs. This 8-part series introduces participants to the basics of Communicating Mindfully, a time-tested, internationally respected curriculum that infuses the study of mindfulness with the study of communication and emotional intelligence. Studies have shown participant improvement in all of these areas, suggesting this powerful combination increases a broad array of skills that benefit participants both personally and professionally.

New Microcredential Dental Terminology launched in Fall 2020

The NHTI Business & Training Center has launched new microcredential online programs this fall for individuals and businesses which include Frontline Manager, 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, Data Analytics for Leaders, G Suite Educator & Mindful Communication. Northeast Delta Dental recognizes the need for high quality and ongoing professional training for their employees, taking advantage of the BTC's program offerings.  They know to come to NHTI Business & Training Center when they have professional training needs.   This fall, a new customized microcredential course, Dental Terminology is being delivered exclusively for the Delta Dental employees.   The goal of this program is to improve overall customer satisfaction by increasing the Delta Dental employee's understanding of dental terms and procedures.  It is critical that these dental professionals have the ability to provide accurate feedback on how dental procedures relate to each other in order to help
